🚦Bexley Road Traffic Lights Blacked Out Due to Power Failure
Bexley motorists are advised to prepare for significant night-time roadworks commencing in July 2025, which will impact the busy intersection of Harrow Road and Watkin Street. The scheduled upgrade aims to improve the intersection and will necessitate temporary changes to traffic flow.
The works will primarily occur on Harrow Road, situated between Connemarra Street and Forest Road, with a specific focus on the Watkin Street intersection. Traffic will be affected in both directions during the following periods:
During these times, the intersection's permanent traffic lights will be blacked out. Portable traffic lights will be in operation to manage traffic, allowing vehicles to pass through in one direction at a time. A reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be enforced throughout the work zones for safety.
Motorists are strongly encouraged to exercise caution, be aware of signage, and anticipate potential delays when travelling through the area. These upgrades are part of planned improvements by Transport for NSW to enhance local road infrastructure in Bexley.
