β¨οΈ Wang Long BBQ in Blacktown Penalised for Food Safety
Two individuals have been charged after police seized multiple knives, including a significant 'zombie' knife, during patrols in the Blacktown CBD. The incident unfolded yesterday, Thursday 31 July 2025, when officers from Blacktown Police Area Command were conducting high-visibility patrols.
Around midday, police observed a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man who allegedly attempted to flee upon their approach. A brief chase ensued through the streets of Blacktown. During the pursuit, the older man reportedly discarded a kitchen knife, which was subsequently recovered by police for examination.
Following their apprehension, a search of the teenage boy allegedly revealed a 50cm long 'zombie' knife in his possession. Both individuals were arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station.
They have each been charged with possessing or using a prohibited weapon without a permit. The 17-year-old boy was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear before a childrenβs court on Thursday 28 August 2025. The 19-year-old man was refused bail and appeared before Blacktown Local Court yesterday, Thursday 31 July 2025, with a further court appearance set for today, Friday 1 August 2025.
