Transport AlertsMaintenance 1 min read

Blacktown commuters relying on train services are advised of significant timetable changes this coming weekend, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October. Transport for NSW has issued an alert regarding modified services on the Blue Mountains Line and T1 Western Line due to essential maintenance work.

During this period, trains on the Blue Mountains Line will operate on a changed timetable, running exclusively between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown. Passengers travelling from Blacktown towards Blue Mountains Line stations should anticipate their services departing approximately 30 minutes later than the usual schedule.

For those utilising the T1 Western Line, trains will continue to run between Penrith, Blacktown, and the City. Commuters planning journeys to Lithgow who need to connect with NSW TrainLink Regional Coaches are particularly encouraged to call 132 232 to confirm their departure times, as connections may be affected by the altered train schedule in Blacktown.

These disruptions are necessary to facilitate vital track maintenance, ensuring the ongoing safety and reliability of the rail network. Passengers are urged to check real-time transport apps or the Transport for NSW website for the most up-to-date travel information before commencing their journeys over the weekend.
