๐Ÿšจ Doonside Man Charged After Reckless Pursuit and Crash

A Doonside man is facing serious charges today following a police pursuit that culminated in a crash into a local home in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command detected a blue hatchback allegedly travelling at high speed along Eastern Road in Doonside, heading towards Knox Road, just before 2am on Sunday, 10 August 2025.

Police patrolling nearby from Blacktown attempted to stop the vehicle. However, when the driver reportedly failed to comply, a pursuit was initiated. The chase continued through Milson and Power roads before turning onto Judith Anderson Drive.

The pursuit concluded when the vehicle crashed into a residence on Karuah Street in Doonside. The 20-year-old driver, a resident of Doonside, was subsequently arrested at the scene and transported to Blacktown Police Station.

He has since been charged with police pursuit โ€“ not stop โ€“ drive recklessly. The man was refused bail and is scheduled to appear before Parramatta Local Court today, Sunday, 10 August 2025.
