🐾 Vital 1080 Baiting Programs Underway in Blue Mountains NP
Visitors to Blue Mountains National Park should be aware of several upcoming temporary track closures and scheduled works in 2025, impacting popular areas within the blue-mountains-national-park region.
Hazard reduction works are slated for Ngula Bulgarabang Regional Park (affecting Blue Mountains National Park trails) from Monday, 22nd September, to Thursday, 25th September 2025. Visitors should be alert to machinery use during this period, and dogs must remain on leashes. Mt Hay Road, north of the Lockley Pylon car park, will also be closed to vehicles on Friday, 19th September 2025. Additionally, the Six Foot Track's Bowtells Swing Bridge will undergo maintenance and be closed on Wednesday, 17th September 2025.
For public safety, visitors are urged to adhere to all signage and instructions from NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) staff. Penalties apply for non-compliance. For further information, contact the local NPWS offices or the Blue Mountains Heritage Centre.
