Emergency ServicesAlert 1 min read

Leppington residents woke to emergency activity early Sunday morning as the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) responded to a structure fire at 3 River Mint Avenue in Leppington.

The incident, reported within the Camden Council area, involved a structure fire which, as of 5:50 AM on December 1, 2025, was listed as 'not yet controlled' by the RFS. While the size of the fire was recorded as 0 hectares, indicating it was confined to the structure, the ongoing 'not yet controlled' status underscores the serious nature of the incident.

The NSW RFS, the primary combat agency for bush fires in the state, also responds to structure fires and other emergencies, providing vital protection to approximately 95% of NSW's land area. The Leppington Rural Fire Brigade serves our local community directly.

This incident serves as a crucial reminder for all Leppington households about fire safety. Fire and Rescue NSW, along with the RFS, consistently highlight the importance of working smoke alarms and a clear home escape plan.

Residents are encouraged to check their smoke alarms regularly and ensure all family members know at least two safe ways out of every room. In the event of any fire or emergency, always call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
