πŸ’₯ Ingleburn Fatal Crash Driver Faces Manslaughter Charge

A 47-year-old man involved in a fatal two-vehicle crash on the Hume Motorway in Ingleburn last year has been hit with an additional charge of manslaughter.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 10:30 PM on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, following reports of a collision between a utility and a truck. Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended the incident.

Tragically, the 37-year-old male passenger of the utility succumbed to his injuries after being transported to Liverpool Hospital. The utility driver, then 47, was trapped for a brief period before being released and also taken to hospital in a serious condition. The 36-year-old truck driver was unharmed.

The utility driver was initially charged in November 2024 with aggravated dangerous driving occasioning death, specifically for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45 km/h and driving under the influence of drugs.

Following continued investigations by authorities, the driver faced Campbelltown Local Court today, Wednesday, June 18, 2025, after being charged with manslaughter on Monday, June 16, 2025.
