Kingsgrove M5 Motorway Traffic Delays

Motorists travelling on the M5 Motorway near Kingsgrove should expect delays due to changed traffic conditions. A reduced speed limit is in effect between Bexley North and Mascot, specifically on the M5 Motorway between King Georges Road and General Holmes Drive.

The incident is impacting eastbound traffic. While the initial cause is related to an earlier incident, Transport for NSW advises drivers to allow extra travel time and to be aware that road closure information from Google Maps may not be entirely up-to-date.

Planned Roadworks

In addition to the current delays, scheduled roadworks are planned for the M5 Motorway. Eastbound lanes will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm respectively, reopening at 5:00 am each morning. Motorists travelling eastbound during these times should consider using the D5 detour via King Georges Road or the M8 Mountway.
