Detectives investigating a series of suspicious fires across the Central Coast, including a significant incident in Erina, have released CCTV footage of a vehicle they believe may be connected to the blazes.
The latest development in the ongoing Strike Force Lottah inquiry centres on a fire that extensively damaged a Pilates studio located on Penrose Crescent, Erina. Emergency services were called to the scene around 4am on Friday, March 7, 2025, to extinguish the blaze.
Shortly after the Erina incident, emergency crews responded to reports of a vehicle fire on Old Maitland Road, Mardi, where a silver Hummer H3 was completely destroyed. Police currently suspect these two incidents are linked.
As part of their extensive investigation, officers from the Brisbane Water Police District have now released CCTV footage featuring a vehicle seen near Penrose Crescent, Erina, at approximately the same time the Pilates studio fire occurred. Authorities are appealing to the public for any information concerning the driver of this vehicle.
Investigations also continue into a separate fire that occurred at a hair salon on The Entrance Road, The Entrance, around 2.20am on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Four individuals have since been charged in connection with that incident and are currently awaiting court proceedings. Despite these arrests, police believe all three incidents may be connected.
Anyone with information that could assist Strike Force Lottah detectives is strongly urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. All information provided is treated with the strictest confidence.
