A significant hazard reduction burn conducted in East Kurrajong is now officially under control, according to the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS). The planned operation, located at Bull Ridge East HR 408 Bull Ridge Road, was a crucial effort by the RFS to minimise bushfire risks in the Hawkesbury area.

The burn, which covered approximately 13 hectares, was a deliberate and controlled fire designed to reduce fuel loads in the landscape.
