🔥 Koreelah National Park to See Hazard Reduction Burns

Residents of Woodenbong and surrounding areas are advised of planned hazard reduction burns scheduled for Koreelah National Park, set to commence on September 9, 2025.

The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will conduct two distinct operations within the park: the 'Trough Creek HR' burn and the 'Bindarabi HR' burn. These crucial works aim to mitigate bushfire risks ahead of future fire seasons, protecting both the park's natural environment and nearby communities.

Authorities urge the public to exercise extreme caution and be aware of their surroundings.
