Commuters travelling through Macksville are advised of upcoming disruptions on Giinagay Way due to scheduled bridge works. Transport for NSW has announced that the works will impact traffic in both directions on the bridge.
From weekdays and Saturdays, between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, motorists can expect sporadic alternating traffic conditions, with stop-slow arrangements in place. There will also be intermittent closures affecting the River Street turning lanes onto and off the bridge. These measures are in place to ensure the safety of workers and the public.
Drivers should prepare for potential delays of approximately 10 minutes. A reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be enforced in the affected areas. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time and to check signage for the latest updates.
Operators of oversized and overmass (OSOM) vehicles are required to contact the project team on 1800 653 092 at least 24 hours before reaching the site for specific access arrangements. These restrictions will be in place for vehicles exceeding 3.5 metres in width.
