Macksville motorists and residents are advised to prepare for significant roadworks commencing on Yarrawonga Street next week, with asphalt pavement works scheduled to begin on Monday, September 9. The Nambucca Valley Council has outlined a series of disruptions expected to last for approximately one week, subject to weather conditions.
The works will primarily affect Yarrawonga Street, specifically the section between Binalong Way. Drivers can expect a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h through the work zones.
Traffic Disruptions and Diversions
- Thursday and Friday: A single lane closure will be in effect all day.
- Saturday: The road will experience a full closure in both directions all day, with limited access for local traffic only.
- Throughout the week: Parking will be restricted in the affected areas.
For those travelling through Macksville, diversions will be in place via Binalong Way to navigate around the closures. The Nambucca Valley Council appreciates the community's patience during this essential infrastructure upgrade and urges everyone to exercise caution when passing through the work sites.
