🔥 Hazard Reduction Burn Underway in Orchard Hills

Residents of Orchard Hills are advised that a planned hazard reduction burn is currently underway at the Defence Establishment on The Northern Road.

The Rural Fire Service (RFS) is managing the burn, which began today, 18 June 2025, and is currently listed as 'Being Controlled'.

The burn is a hazard reduction activity, aimed at minimising the risk of bushfires in the area. The fire size is currently reported as 0 hectares.

Residents may experience smoke in the Orchard Hills area as a result of the burn. The RFS advises anyone sensitive to smoke to take precautions.
