🔪 Man Charged Over Gordon St Stabbing in Port Macquarie

A violent incident at a Gordon Street service station in Port Macquarie has resulted in a man being charged by police. Emergency services were called to the scene around 1:25 AM on Friday, January 2, 2026, following reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers from the Mid North Coast Police District found a 30-year-old man suffering a stab wound. NSW Ambulance paramedics provided immediate treatment before he was transported to a local hospital in a serious but stable condition. He was later airlifted to John Hunter Hospital for further medical attention.

A crime scene was established, and detectives from the Mid North Coast Police District, under Strike Force Lonerock, launched an investigation into the alleged stabbing.

Following extensive inquiries, police executed a search warrant at a unit on Gordon Street later that day, around 6:30 PM. A 27-year-old man was arrested at the premises and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station. He has since been charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The accused was refused bail and appeared before Bail Division Court 1 on Saturday, January 3, 2026. He was subsequently granted strict conditional bail and is set to appear before Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
