🚂 Sydney-Casino XPT Services Hit by Operational Issues
Sydney train commuters are advised of further changes to the NSW TrainLink 33 service from Sydney to Casino. Due to ongoing operational requirements, this service will now terminate at Grafton.
Passengers travelling beyond Grafton will be required to transfer to replacement road coaches to complete their journey. This alteration is part of a broader series of disruptions affecting the vital route.
Previously, Route 33 services have experienced significant delays and alterations, including issues with customer boarding and the need for connecting coach services from Sydney to Broadmeadow. These challenges were compounded by infrastructure repair work near Dora Creek, impacting journeys between Sydney and Broadmeadow.
For example, the 07:15 Sydney to Casino XPT service and the 09:35 Sydney to Moree XPLORER have also seen segments replaced by road coaches between Sydney and Broadmeadow. Additionally, the NSW TrainLink 34 service from Casino to Sydney has frequently terminated at Broadmeadow, with the final leg into Sydney completed by road coaches.
Transport for NSW urges all passengers to plan their journeys carefully, allowing for extra travel time, and to consult real-time service updates before departing. The situation remains fluid, and passengers should stay informed for the latest information impacting services in Sydney and beyond.
