🚂 Sydney TrainLink 31 Service Delayed by Speed Restrictions

Commuters in Sydney are advised of fresh delays impacting the NSW TrainLink 31 service from Sydney to Casino. Transport for NSW has reported that the current hold-ups are primarily due to temporary speed restrictions in place along the route. This specific issue adds to the ongoing challenges faced by this service, which has previously experienced substantial delays often linked to the late arrival of connecting coaches.

This latest disruption adds to a series of ongoing challenges affecting vital NSW TrainLink routes connecting Sydney with regional areas. Previously, the NSW TrainLink 34 service from Casino to Sydney was altered, commencing its journey from Grafton, requiring passengers from Casino to use replacement road coaches.

Ongoing Transport Challenges

Route 33 train services have also seen considerable hold-ups, often attributed to customer boarding delays and the necessity to await connecting coach services originating from Sydney. Furthermore, essential infrastructure repair work near Dora Creek has previously impacted journeys between Sydney and Broadmeadow, contributing to the network's fluidity.

For example, the 07:15 Sydney to Casino XPT and the 09:35 Sydney to Moree XPLORER services have at times seen segments replaced by road coaches between Sydney and Broadmeadow. Similarly, the NSW TrainLink 34 service from Casino to Sydney has frequently terminated at Broadmeadow, with road coaches completing the final leg into Sydney.

Transport for NSW continues to urge all passengers utilising services in and out of Sydney to meticulously plan their journeys and allocate additional travel time. Passengers are strongly advised to consult real-time service updates before their departure to stay fully informed on the evolving situation across the network.
