🚨 Teen Arrested, Rifle Seized After Stolen Car Crash in Revesby, Sydney

Bankstown Police have apprehended a teenager and seized a firearm following a high-speed car crash in Revesby, Sydney. Police responded to a report of a stolen SUV colliding with a tree on Flood Avenue at approximately 5.40am on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

The driver and passengers fled the scene of the accident. Subsequently, around 8.40am, officers returned to the same area after reports of suspicious activity. They witnessed a group of individuals running from a parked Toyota Corolla, believed to be stolen from Riverstone, into a nearby house.

With assistance from Police Air and a Dog Unit, the youths were tracked down. A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody at Bankstown Police Station.

During the arrest, officers discovered and confiscated a rifle. Investigating officers from Strike Force Sweetenham are urgently seeking information from a teenage boy who was reportedly in the area during the incident. The missing suspect is of Maori/Pacific Islander descent, and was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper and black pants.
