⛴️ Wisemans Ferry: Webbs Creek Ferry Faces Low Tide Halt

The Webbs Creek Ferry, a crucial transport link for the Wisemans Ferry community, remains out of service, impacting travel between River Road and St Albans Road.

While the ferry was previously reported as undergoing maintenance, Transport for NSW has now confirmed that low tide conditions are also contributing to its unavailability. This unplanned closure means motorists continuing to experience significant disruptions.

Commuters are strongly advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow for substantial additional travel time. Established diversions are in place:

Diversion Routes:

  • Eastbound: Motorists on St Albans Road should proceed via Settlers Road, Wisemans Ferry Road, and Old Northern Road, before rejoining River Road.
  • Westbound: Those travelling from River Road will need to use Old Northern Road, Wisemans Ferry Road, and Settlers Road, to reach St Albans Road.

These alternative routes are expected to add approximately 50 minutes to travel times. Residents and visitors to Wisemans Ferry are urged to exercise patience and consider alternative arrangements while the Webbs Creek Ferry remains unable to operate.
