🚗 Warringah Freeway Southbound Closure This Weekend

Drivers heading south through Artarmon can expect major disruptions this weekend due to planned upgrade works on the Warringah Freeway and Gore Hill Freeway. Transport for NSW has announced a full southbound closure between the Pacific Highway and Ernest Street.

The closure is set to begin at 10:30 PM on Friday and will continue until 6:00 AM on Saturday. This will impact several key on-ramps, including those from Longueville Road (Epping Road), Pacific Highway, Reserve Road, Willoughby Road, Brook Street, and Miller Street. Drivers attempting to access the freeway from the Lane Cove Tunnel will also be affected.

Motorists are advised to use an alternative route and plan their journey ahead of time, allowing for extra travel time. The Falcon Street (Military Road) southbound on-ramp to the Warringah Freeway will remain open, providing access to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Harbour Tunnel. Diversions will guide traffic from the Lane Cove Tunnel and Longueville Road onto the Pacific Highway, directing them to the Falcon Street on-ramp.
