🎨 Chatswood to Host Sung Kun Lee Korean Abstract Art Show
Chatswood's art scene will be illuminated this April with 'Traces of Light', a solo exhibition by Sydney-based artist Christine Choi. The exhibition will be on display from April 15 to April 26, 2026, at Art Space Gallery, The Concourse, 409 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood.
Choi's captivating abstract paintings delve into colour as a language for seeing, feeling, and remembering. Rather than depicting specific places or objects, her works are an expression of inner landscapes, translating moments of energy, rhythm, and emotion into form and hue. She explores how the world might appear if vision were altered, inviting viewers into an open dialogue with colour itself and awakening personal memories and sensations.
The Art Space Gallery at The Concourse is a well-regarded local venue that consistently features high-quality art, craft, and cultural exhibitions. Christine Choi has a history of exploring Australian landscapes, with previous exhibitions like 'Breathing Land' drawing inspiration from areas like Canowindra, NSW, and reflecting how the natural environment provided comfort and a sense of belonging for her as an immigrant. Her latest works promise bold, layered, and luminous compositions, offering a deeply felt journey beyond the visible.
