UPDATE: 🔥 Controlled Burn Off in Bargo

Bargo residents are advised that a controlled burn off is currently underway at 5 Glengarry Rd, Melwood.

According to a NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) incident report, the burn off is being controlled and does not pose a significant threat. The size of the burn off is listed as 0 hectares.

The RFS is responsible for managing the operation, which was updated at 00:52 on 22 June 2025. While no alert level has been issued, residents may notice smoke in the area.

This follows a motor vehicle accident reported yesterday at 100 Dymond Street, Bargo, which emergency services attended. Fortunately, no fire was reported in relation to that incident.
