🚧 St Helena Tunnel Closure Announced for Scheduled Roadwork

Motorists are advised of upcoming closures at the St Helena Tunnel due to scheduled roadwork, according to Transport for NSW. The closures will affect both directions of the tunnel, with work commencing on Monday, June 17th, 2024, at 7:00 PM, and continuing through the week.

The tunnel will be closed from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and from 7:00 PM to 11:59 PM on Wednesday. Motorists are advised to allow approximately 5 minutes of additional travel time during these periods.

Diversions in Place

Northbound:Byron Bay Road (Bangalow Exit) onto Hinterland Way, re-joining the highway at Ewingsdale.

Southbound:Ewingsdale Rd (Byron Bay Exit) onto Hinterland Way, re-joining the highway at Bangalow.

Drivers are urged to follow traffic control directions, check signage, exercise caution, and reduce speed in the area.
