๐Ÿš— RFS Responds to Ingleburn Road MVA in Leppington

Emergency ServicesAlert 1 min read

The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) was called into action earlier today to manage a motor vehicle accident (MVA) on Ingleburn Road in Leppington. The incident, reported at approximately 1:48 PM on November 5, 2025, has since been brought under control by the attending crews.

While no fire was involved, the RFS played a crucial role in overseeing the scene. This highlights the diverse responsibilities of the NSW RFS, whose extensive operational guidelines cover a wide array of emergency situations beyond bushfires, including various vehicle incidents, rescue operations, and providing emergency care.

Ingleburn Road in Leppington is a significant local thoroughfare, currently earmarked for substantial upgrades as part of the broader Leppington growth corridor. Camden Council recently approved a major design tender that includes plans to enhance sections of Ingleburn Road, aiming to improve connectivity and safety for the burgeoning community. The Leppington Town Centre Masterplan also indicates that Ingleburn Road is slated to be upgraded to a sub-arterial road.

However, the road has also been a point of concern for residents, with organisations like the Leppington Progress Association previously raising issues regarding traffic volume and speed, particularly as it's often used as a shortcut to other areas like Bringelly and Penrith. These concerns underscore the importance of ongoing road safety initiatives in the rapidly developing suburb of Leppington.
