Commuters in Bass Hill experienced significant disruptions earlier today following a truck breakdown on the Hume Highway at Arundle Road.
The incident, which occurred in the westbound lanes, led to heavy traffic conditions and caused considerable delays for some westbound bus services passing through the area. Transport for NSW advised motorists and public transport users to allow extra travel time during the peak of the disruption.
Site Cleared, Delays Easing
Fortunately, the scene has now been completely cleared. Authorities confirmed that the broken-down truck was removed and road conditions are returning to normal. While residual delays may still be experienced as traffic flow recovers, the primary cause of the congestion has been resolved, much to the relief of local drivers and bus passengers in Bass Hill.
