🚨 Police Seek Man Wanted on Warrant, Frequents Merrylands
Police in Merrylands have launched an investigation following a disturbing home invasion where a 79-year-old man was assaulted and had his mobile phone stolen overnight.
Emergency services were called to a residence on Coleman Street, Merrylands, around 9pm yesterday, Friday 30 May 2025, after reports of an injured resident. The victim informed officers from Cumberland Police Area Command that three boys entered his home, assaulted him, and then took his mobile phone.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man for a chest laceration at the scene before he was transported to Westmead Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
A crime scene was promptly established by police, and inquiries into the incident are now underway. Authorities are appealing to the community for assistance. Anyone with CCTV footage, dashcam vision, or any information pertaining to this incident is urged to contact Cumberland Police.
