🚨 Man Assaulted in Merrylands Home Invasion

Police are investigating after a 79-year-old man was assaulted during a home invasion in Merrylands on Friday evening.

Emergency services were called to a residence on Coleman Street around 9pm, responding to reports of an injury. The man informed Cumberland Police Area Command that three boys entered his home, assaulted him, and stole his mobile phone.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man for a chest laceration before transporting him to Westmead Hospital in stable condition. A crime scene has been established, and police are actively investigating the incident.
