🔫 Merrylands Shooting: Investigation Launched After Shots Fired

Police are investigating an incident in Merrylands after reports of gunshots being fired into a home early on Sunday morning.

Around 1:40 AM on Sunday, 14 September 2025, officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were called to a residence on Harris Street following reports of multiple gunshots. Three people were inside the home at the time: two women, aged 49 and 22, and a 15-year-old boy. Thankfully, no one sustained any injuries during the event.

A crime scene has been established, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting are now underway.
