🚨 Man Charged with Mid-Range PCA After Goulburn Pursuit

A 20-year-old man faces multiple charges, including mid-range drink driving, after allegedly leading police on a pursuit through Goulburn streets in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Around 4:30 am today, officers attached to The Hume Police District were patrolling Hume Street, Goulburn, when they reportedly observed a Holden Commodore being driven dangerously. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but it allegedly failed to comply, initiating a pursuit.

The chase concluded a short time later in Clinton Street, Goulburn, where the driver was stopped. A roadside breath test allegedly returned a positive result, leading to the man's arrest. He was then taken to Goulburn Police Station, where a secondary breath analysis reportedly yielded a reading of 0.115.

The man has since been charged with police pursuit - not stop - drive recklessly, operate vehicle so driving wheel/s undergo loss of traction, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous - drive with mid-range PCA.

He was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear before Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday, 20 August 2025.
