⚠️ Yengo National Park: Fire, Baiting, and Road Warnings Issued
Commuters and residents in Wisemans Ferry are currently facing significant disruptions to ferry services, with the large vehicle ferry now out of commission. Transport for NSW has confirmed that the vessel is out of service due to a combination of debris in the water and high tide conditions, impacting travel across the Hawkesbury River.
While the main ferry is unable to operate, a smaller ferry is still running; however, it is doing so with a reduced capacity. This is causing considerable delays for those travelling between Wisemans Ferry Road and Old Northern Road in Wisemans Ferry.
Motorists and public transport users are advised to expect significant delays and to allow extra travel time for their journeys. Transport for NSW is managing the incident, which has been classified as 'unplanned' and falls under the 'FERRY OUT OF SERVICE' category, with 'High tide' being a contributing factor.
Residents are encouraged to plan their trips accordingly and remain patient during this period of reduced service.
