🏥 Man Stable at Lismore After Lawrence Car Incident

LISMORE - Police are appealing for public assistance following a serious incident last week in which a man was struck by a vehicle in Lawrence, a town located approximately 25 kilometres north of Grafton. The injured man was subsequently transported to Lismore Hospital for treatment.

Emergency services were called to Richmond Street, Lawrence, around 9pm on Friday, May 30, 2025, after reports indicated a pedestrian had been hit by a car. Upon arrival, officers learned that a 37-year-old man was walking along the street when the collision occurred.

The man sustained injuries but was reported to be in a stable condition upon his arrival at Lismore Hospital. The driver of the vehicle involved, a 50-year-old man, was not injured in the incident and is cooperating fully with the ongoing police investigation.

Officers from the Coffs/Clarence Police District are continuing their inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam footage from Richmond Street around 9pm on Friday, May 30, 2025, to come forward.
