🌧️ Foxes Lane in Moree Closed Due to Wet Weather
A tragic single-vehicle rollover approximately 90 kilometres east of Moree has claimed the life of a 56-year-old man, prompting an appeal for public assistance from the NSW Police Force.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Elcombe Road and Royal Oak Road in Bangheet around 3:50 PM on Friday, June 20, 2025, following reports of the incident. Officers from the New England Police District arrived to find a silver Ford Ranger utility involved in the crash.
Despite immediate CPR efforts by police and NSW Ambulance paramedics to revive a 56-year-old male passenger, he sadly passed away at the scene.
The 47-year-old female driver of the vehicle was treated by paramedics before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital, where she remains in a stable condition. Two other female passengers, aged nine and 25, were fortunate to escape without injury.
A crime scene was established and later meticulously examined by specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit as inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the rollover continue.
Police are particularly keen to speak with the occupants of a green, early model dual cab utility with a flat tray. This vehicle was last observed travelling north on Elcombe Road in the direction of Gravesend.
