🚨 Silverwater Man Arrested for Organised Car Theft Ring

Detectives from Taskforce Falcon have laid charges against a 21-year-old man following his alleged involvement in stealing and supplying vehicles to organised criminal networks. The arrest took place yesterday (Monday 23 June 2025) at a correctional centre located in Silverwater.

The man faces serious allegations, including an alleged conspiracy to kidnap. Police further allege he was directly involved in stealing and supplying a Haval vehicle reportedly used in the kidnapping plot. In addition, detectives claim the accused also stole a Bentley and a Rolls-Royce, with a combined value exceeding $800,000, in March 2025. All three luxury vehicles have since been recovered by authorities.

The investigation stems from an incident in North Parramatta on Thursday 27 February 2025, where officers witnessed three balaclava-clad men fleeing a car. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed mobile phones, duct tape, flexi cuffs, and a baseball bat. This incident led to Strike Force Drever, which later became part of the broader Taskforce Falcon, established in May 2025 to investigate links between violent crimes across Sydney.

The Silverwater man has been charged with aggravated break and enter, taking and driving a conveyance without consent, and receiving/disposing of stolen property valued over $5000. He was remanded in custody and appeared before Parramatta Local Court on the same day.
