🌳 Park Alerts Issued for Wauchope

Residents of Wauchope and surrounding areas are advised of important alerts affecting access to several national parks in the Hastings Macleay region.

Park Closures Due to Severe Weather

Multiple national parks and reserves have been temporarily closed due to the impacts of recent severe weather and widespread flooding. Bago Bluff National Park is among those affected. These closures are in place to ensure public safety while National Parks and Wildlife Service staff assess conditions and undertake necessary repairs.

Visitors are encouraged to check Live Traffic NSW for up-to-date road information before travelling. Parks will re-open as soon as it is safe to do so.

Ongoing Baiting Program

As previously reported, Werrikimbe National Park and surrounding areas are subject to an ongoing 1080 baiting program targeting wild dogs and foxes, running from June 8, 2025, to December 8, 2025. Domestic pets are strictly prohibited in NSW National Parks managed lands.
