🚆 Train Delays Hit Wauchope Line Due to Blocked Route
Wauchope locals and visitors planning a trip to the Willi Willi Caves Nature Reserve are advised that the popular natural attraction is currently closed. National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has announced the closure due to the ongoing impacts of severe weather and concerns over unsafe access within the area.
The Willi Willi Caves Nature Reserve, a cherished spot in the Hastings Macleay region, will remain inaccessible until further notice. This measure has been put in place to ensure public safety, as weather-related damage has made parts of the reserve unsafe.
The NPWS has indicated that several other national parks and reserves across the Hastings Macleay area may also be experiencing closures or significant impacts due to recent weather events. Park authorities are working to assess conditions and will reopen areas as soon as it is safe to do so.
Members of the public are urged to adhere to all closure signs. Penalties apply for non-compliance with these safety directives. For the most up-to-date information on park statuses and reopening times, residents are encouraged to contact their local NPWS office.
