🚧 Murramarang Park Closures & Walk Warnings Near Ulladulla

Visitors and local residents planning to enjoy Murramarang National Park, a popular natural asset near Ulladulla, should be aware of several important closures and safety alerts currently in effect.

The entire Murramarang South Coast Walk is closed until further notice. This extensive closure is a result of significant storm damage, with safety assessments still ongoing.

Adding to the closures, the Depot Beach Rainforest Walk has also been closed due to similar storm-related damage, impacting access for bushwalkers in that area.

Furthermore, the Depot Beach campground and Depot Beach cabins are temporarily closed for essential maintenance works. This closure is expected to remain in place until Sunday, 31st August. During this period, the Depot Beach campground office will also be inaccessible.

For those considering walks around the area, a safety alert has been issued regarding Durras Lake, which is currently open to the ocean. Murramarang South Coast Walkers are specifically warned that attempting to cross the lake opening is potentially dangerous and should be avoided.
