🚧 Chatswood Traffic Alert: Fullers Road Night Roadwork

Commuters in Chatswood are advised to prepare for overnight disruptions on Fullers Road next week, as Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is undertaking scheduled roadwork between Greville Street and James Street.

The essential maintenance will see both directions of Fullers Road affected during evening and early morning hours. Work is planned to commence on Tuesday nights from 9:00pm until 5:00am, and continue on Wednesday nights during the same times. On Thursday night, operations will run from 10:00pm until 5:00am.

During these periods, motorists can expect changed traffic conditions, including a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h. Alternating (stop/slow) traffic control will be in place to allow vehicles to pass in one direction at a time. Drivers are strongly encouraged to allow extra travel time and exercise caution when travelling through the area.

Fullers Road is a critical State Road, meaning it falls under the direct responsibility of Transport for NSW for its maintenance and upkeep. This ongoing investment ensures the safety and longevity of our local road network. Transport for NSW regularly schedules such routine maintenance on arterial roads across Sydney, often undertaking these works overnight to minimise impact during peak travel times. This strategy aims to reduce congestion and inconvenience for the majority of daily commuters. Motorists can find real-time updates and further details on scheduled roadwork via the Live Traffic NSW website.
