🎨 Chatswood to Host Sung Kun Lee Korean Abstract Art Show
Residents and commuters in Chatswood need to be aware of significant traffic disruptions this weekend due to planned Sydney Metro North West Line trackwork. Transport for NSW has implemented special event clearways on several key streets to facilitate rail replacement bus operations.
The clearways will be in place on Railway Street, southbound from Day Street to Help Street, and northbound from Help Street to Brown Street. Additionally, Brown Street will have clearways westbound from the secure parking driveway to the existing motorcycle parking.
These clearways are strictly no-parking zones for all vehicle types, including local residents and businesses with permits, and even holders of TfNSW Mobility Scheme permits. Vehicles parked in these clearways will be towed. If your vehicle is towed, you can search for its location on the Find My Car website or call 132 701.
The road closures are scheduled from 2:00 am Saturday until 2:00 am Monday. Transport for NSW advises the public to plan their journeys, check signage, and allow for extra travel time. This trackwork is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and upgrade Sydney's rail network, with similar disruptions occasionally impacting services across the city.
According to a report by Infrastructure Australia, planned maintenance and upgrades are crucial for the long-term efficiency of public transport networks, though they often necessitate temporary disruptions. Commuters are encouraged to check the Transport for NSW website for the latest updates and alternative travel advice.
