๐Northbound Bus Breakdown on Stacey Street Now Cleared
Bankstown residents are urged to prioritize fire safety as the Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) launches its 2025 'Be Fire Safe' Winter Safety Campaign. The campaign will be officially launched at the Bankstown Fire Station this Sunday.
Emergency Services Minister, Jihad Dib, along with FRNSW Commissioner Jeremy Fewtrell, will be present. They will be joined by Montana Adams, a survivor of a house fire, to emphasize the importance of working smoke alarms. Last winter, the Canterbury-Bankstown Local Government Area had the highest number of residential fires, with 63 incidents.
Residents are encouraged to test their smoke alarms on Smoke Alarm Action Day to ensure they are in good working order.
Following the media conference, FRNSW crews will be offering fire safety advice to the public at Bankstown Central Shopping Centre, near the Guest Services Desk.
