🚨 Train Delays Hit Goulburn-Central Route Amid Heavy Traffic
A 20-year-old man has been charged with several offences following a police pursuit in Goulburn early this morning. Around 4:30 am, officers from The Hume Police District were patrolling Hume Street when they observed a Holden Commodore allegedly being driven dangerously.
Police signalled for the driver to stop, but the vehicle failed to do so, initiating a pursuit. The vehicle came to a stop a short time later on Clinton Street, Goulburn.
The driver was subjected to a roadside breath test, which allegedly returned a positive result. He was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station, where a secondary breath analysis allegedly returned a reading of 0.115.
The man was charged with police pursuit - not stop - drive recklessly, operate a vehicle so driving wheel/s undergo loss of traction, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, and drive with mid-range PCA. He was granted conditional bail to appear before Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday, 20 August 2025.
