In a significant development for local law enforcement, Taskforce Falcon officers have successfully executed a search warrant at a large property in Austral, resulting in multiple arrests and the recovery of stolen goods.

The operation, part of a broader initiative led by State Crime Command and the NSW Crime Commission to combat violent crime across Sydney, saw officers descend on the Austral property yesterday morning, Wednesday 5 June 2025, at approximately 6:30 AM.

During the search, police located and seized three vehicles – a Volkswagen Golf, a BMW, and a Lexus – which are believed to have been stolen between Sunday 25 May and Wednesday 28 May 2025. A 37-year-old man who arrived at the scene was promptly arrested in connection with the vehicles. He has since been charged with two counts of possessing suspected stolen goods (motor vehicle) and was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 16 July 2025.

Further investigation of the property led to the discovery of four gel blasters, designed to resemble three semi-automatic pistols and a revolver. Additionally, officers uncovered a hydroponic setup containing six cannabis plants.

Two other men, aged 52 and 41, were arrested at the Austral location. The 52-year-old faces charges including possessing an unauthorised firearm, failing to safely keep a prohibited firearm, and possessing drugs. He was refused bail and appeared in Liverpool Local Court today, Thursday 5 June 2025. The 41-year-old has been charged with cultivating a prohibited plant (small quantity) and was granted conditional bail to appear in Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 16 July 2025.

Taskforce Falcon's proactive efforts are continuing as they work to investigate and suppress organised criminal activity in the metropolitan area. Local residents are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers with any information that may assist ongoing investigations.
