North Sydney Oval is set to strengthen its position as a premier sporting venue with the announcement of a new five-year venue hire agreement. North Sydney Council, in collaboration with Cricket Australia and Cricket NSW, will officially unveil the significant deal on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10am.

The agreement solidifies North Sydney Oval's role in hosting elite women's and men's cricket matches for the next half-decade. A key part of the announcement will also include details of an upcoming Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) fixture, further highlighting the Oval's commitment to supporting and promoting women's sport within North Sydney.

The press conference, scheduled to take place at the Oval located at 2 Fig Tree Lane, North Sydney, is expected to be attended by several key figures. While confirmations are pending, attendees may include Councillor Zoë Baker, Mayor of North Sydney Council; Rachael Haynes, General Manager of Sydney Sixers; Greg Mail, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Cricket NSW; and a representative from Cricket Australia.
