🔥 Bush Fire Under Control on Port Macquarie's Pacific Drive
A 26-year-old man, wanted on six outstanding warrants for alleged domestic violence offences, has been arrested in Port Macquarie.
Following an investigation that began in March 2025 concerning alleged domestic violence incidents in the Tamworth area, police attempted to apprehend the man in Sydney, Coffs Harbour, and Ballina. On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, officers from the North Coast Domestic Violence High Risk Offender Team, with assistance from other specialist units, located the man hiding at a resort in Port Macquarie.
The man was taken to Port Macquarie Police Station and subsequently charged with several offences, including police pursuit – not stop – drive at speed, licence expired more than two years, possess prohibited drug, escape police custody, stating incorrect name or address to an authorised officer, and placing feet on a seat in or on a public passenger vehicle. The six outstanding warrants executed were for alleged domestic violence, assault, knife, property, traffic, and bail offences.
He was refused bail and appeared before Port Macquarie Local Court on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. His bail was formally refused, and he is scheduled to appear before the same court again on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
