🎨 New 'Bright and Bold' Art Exhibition Opens in Port Macquarie

An exciting new exhibition, 'Bright and Bold', is set to captivate art enthusiasts in Port Macquarie, showcasing colourful abstract artworks drawn from the extensive Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Collection. This vibrant display promises to spark imagination through an exploration of colour, form, and shape, creating a visual language that connects with gesture, experience, and emotional reaction, resulting in expressive, minimalist pieces.

The Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Art Collection, comprising over 200 donated and acquired artworks, focuses primarily on themes of abstraction and landscape. While many of these works are housed in Council buildings throughout the Hastings region, a significant portion can be viewed in the foyer areas of the main Council Building and the Port Macquarie Library.

The collection's origins trace back to an annual art competition first held in Port Macquarie, through which early acquisitions were made. The 'Bright and Bold' exhibition will be on display from July 19, 2025, to August 24, 2025, at the corner of Clarence and Hay Streets in Port Macquarie, offering locals and visitors alike an opportunity to immerse themselves in a world of vivid artistic expression.
