Queanbeyan residents heading to Brindabella National Park are advised to exercise extreme caution, particularly after periods of rain. Several trails within the park, including McIntyres Trail, Lowells Flat Trail, and Waterfall Trail, are known to become wet, slippery, and potentially impassable.

These specific trails are steep and suitable only for high-clearance 4WD vehicles equipped with low-range capability and off-road tyres. Drivers should possess prior 4WD experience, as AWD vehicles and SUVs are not appropriate for these conditions. Visitors to McIntyres campground and Lowells Flat campground should be especially vigilant.

It is crucial to note that phone service in these remote areas is limited or non-existent, making it difficult to call for assistance.
