🔥 Nowra Grass Fire Remains Uncontrolled on Bridge Road
Nowra's Shoalhaven Regional Gallery is proud to present 'Accumulated Landscapes: Shoalhaven', an intriguing new exhibition by acclaimed artist Bonnie Porter Greene. This display is part of an evolving body of work where Greene creates a compelling dialogue between regional Australian landscapes through her distinctive layered oil paintings on paper.
The exhibition represents the second phase of an ongoing project, building upon her previous work, 'Microcosm, Outback'. With each new exhibition, Greene adds another layer of paint to the existing pieces, meticulously responding to the unique environment of each location. This process allows the paper itself to become an active participant, accumulating history and materiality with every new addition, pushing towards its physical limits.
Greene's work profoundly explores how our experience of one landscape can shape our perception of another, and how these relationships can evolve over time. A recipient of several accolades, including the Shoalhaven Arts Board 'A Sense of Place' grant, Bonnie Porter Greene's connection to the region is further solidified through her role as a Learning Officer at Bundanon.
Discover 'Accumulated Landscapes' at the Shoalhaven Regional Gallery, located at 12 Berry Street, Nowra. The exhibition will be open to the public from October 24 to November 15, 2025.
