🤝Natalie Ward Praises Salt Care's Work in Nowra

The Hon. Natalie Ward recently highlighted the significant contributions of Salt Care in Nowra, a local not-for-profit charity. Salt Care offers crucial support to the South Coast community, aiding the homeless, socially disadvantaged, individuals with mental health issues, the disabled, Indigenous people, the elderly, and at-risk youth.

Established in 2009, Salt Care began by providing groceries to those in need in Bomaderry. It has since expanded its services from Wollongong to Batemans Bay, offering assisted housing, NDIS support, food services, emergency shelter, disaster relief, and job opportunities. These services empower individuals across the Shoalhaven to rebuild their lives.

Salt Care's annual operating costs amount to $4 million, relying on both government funding and community fundraising to sustain its vital work in Nowra.
