♻️ Craig Reucassel Tackles Plastic Pollution at Pyrmont Museum

Residents of Pyrmont and surrounds are invited to a crucial discussion on the pervasive issue of plastic pollution at the Australian National Maritime Museum on August 14.

Television host and comedian Craig Reucassel will lead an insightful panel as part of the museum's 'Big Blue Ideas' series, delving into the impact of plastics on our oceans, environment, and even our bodies. The event, titled 'Plastic – The Final Straw?', is a key component of the Museum’s Science Week programming and aims to inspire, inform, and educate attendees of all ages.

Joining Reucassel on the panel will be esteemed experts including oceanographer and startup co-founder Dr Julia Reisser, youth ocean and climate champion Kal Glanznig, and BehaviourWorks Senior Researcher Jennifer Macklin. The conversation will be moderated by Emily Jateff, the Museum’s Senior Curator for Ocean Futures.

This innovative series, presented in partnership with the Minderoo Foundation, focuses on the future of our oceans, moving beyond typical climate discussions to explore solutions and new perspectives. Following the main talk, the conversation will continue at the 'Sea Citizens After Party', a boardwalk gathering offering drinks, hands-on activities, and a chance to connect directly with the speakers and fellow ocean advocates.

The event commences at 6:30pm on August 14 at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Pyrmont. Tickets are available from $25, offering a valuable opportunity for locals to engage with leading voices on a critical environmental challenge.
