Drivers and public transport users in Surry Hills and across the city centre are being advised to expect significant delays this afternoon due to a planned march requiring police operations and rolling road closures.

Around 12:30pm, a group is scheduled to commence a march from Prince Alfred Park in Surry Hills. The procession will then move along Chalmers Street, Randle Street, Elizabeth Street, and Park Street, before concluding its journey in Hyde Park North.

Transport for NSW has confirmed that these movements will necessitate rolling closures along the entire route. Roads will be progressively reopened to traffic as the group passes through each section. Emergency services and Transport for NSW personnel are on site to manage the changed traffic conditions.

Motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys carefully and allow for extra travel time. Public transport users should also check transportnsw.info for the latest updates on service impacts and to plan their trips.
