🚧 Warringah Freeway Upgrade: Artarmon Southbound Night Closures

Motorists in Artarmon and surrounds are advised of upcoming overnight southbound closures on the Warringah Freeway as part of ongoing upgrade works. These planned disruptions will affect traffic travelling between Artarmon and Cammeray.

Transport for NSW has confirmed that the southbound lanes of the Warringah Freeway will be closed from 10:30pm on Friday nights until 6:00am on Saturday mornings. Drivers should prepare for significant changes to their commute during these times.

For those heading south from the Lane Cove Tunnel or Longueville Road, diversions will be in place. Motorists are encouraged to use the Pacific Highway and Falcon Street to access the Sydney Harbour Tunnel or Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Importantly, the Ernest Street and Falcon Street southbound on-ramps to the Warringah Freeway will remain open. However, all other southbound traffic on the freeway itself will be impacted by the closures.

Local authorities strongly advise Artarmon residents and all commuters to plan their journeys ahead, utilise alternative routes where possible, and allow for extra travel time to avoid delays. This work is crucial for the Warringah Freeway Upgrade project and aims to improve future road conditions.
